Major league baseball highlights

? Rickie Weeks and Corey Hart homered on consecutive pitches in the first inning to help Milwaukee defeat Boston and spoil Jon Lester's bid to become the majors' first 10-game winner.

? Jose Molina doubled and homered, leading Toronto past Cincinnati.

? Johnny Damon joined Stan Musial and nine other players with 500 doubles, 100 triples, 200 homers, and 2,500 hits for his career when he doubled in the first inning of Tampa Bay's victory over Florida.

? Adrian Beltre drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the 10th inning as Texas held on to defeat Atlanta.

? Carlos Carrasco took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and won his third start in a row as Cleveland defeated Pittsburgh.

? Curtis Granderson hit a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in the sixth inning and the Yankees held on to defeat the Cubs.

? Tom Henke, who had 311 saves in 14 major league seasons and retired after earning 36 with the Cardinals in 1995, was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys, Ontario.

? Boston placed left fielder Carl Crawford on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring.
