I try to give my best to not only my clients, but also my team. In order to have a successful business, all of the people who work for the company, need to come into the office feeling excited about the work that they?re going to do that day.

I?ve found there are a few small things I can do to help my team members feel energized and come into the office everyday looking forward to the work their about to do.

Lead by example.? Remember that your attitude sets the tone for your employees and the company.? Your attitude is contagious so make it a good one.

Give them face time. It?s vital that my employees feel important and useful. Taking the time to speak with employees one-on-one about any new ideas or any challenges they?re currently experiencing makes them feel valuable.

Let them learn new things. Nothing is more motivating than learning something new. For the kind of employees I like to surround myself with, education is invigorating. If an employee comes to me wanting to learn a new process or system, as long as it?s relevant to the company, I?m am willing to help them explore it.

Reward and award them. Nothing motivates employees like a little reward. There are so many little things you can do for your employees that, in the grand scheme of things, cost very little money. You can start by letting them know you value the work they are doing ? and what a great job they are doing. Invest in some iTunes gift cards or restaurant gift certificates or for a pizza party for the office.

You may also want to award them -with a plaque or certificate quantifying their contribution i.e? Top Sales person of the quarter with a 38% increase in sales in the 1st quarter.

Small gestures?provide big results.
