MSI brings sub-$300 Enjoy 7 and Enjoy 10 Gingerbread WindPads to Computex, we go hands-on

MSI has snuck a couple of new tablets into Computex, which we've naturally dug up, dusted off, and covered in fingerprints. The WindPad Enjoy 10 is a 10-inch Android Gingerbread slate with relatively humble specs -- 1024 x 768 resolution, 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, and a 27.3WHr battery -- but also a very modest asking price of $299. It comes with a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 (single core) processor that's said to be able to play back 1080p video, and at least one of the dual 2 megapixel cameras should be able to record in 720p as well. Its smaller sibling, the Enjoy 7, spans 800 x 480 pixels across a 7-inch expanse and has a smaller 17.3WHr battery, but is otherwise identical. We're promised an even lower price point for this smaller tablet, with both Enjoy models expected to begin mass production in July and hit the States in earnest either that month or soon thereafter. Releases in Europe and other nations are also planned shortly after the US gets a first bite of these intriguing Gingerbread concoctions.

MSI specifically pointed out to us that it preferred Android 2.3 over 3.0 for its broader compatibility and better stability. Alas, neither slate is licensed to access the Android Market, but the pre-production units we looked at had an APK installer on board and MSI promised to figure out a workaround to let you obtain apps. It wasn't terribly clear how that'd be done, but at least the company has it in mind. As to build quality, the 795g Enjoy 10 felt great in the hand, its curvy and thin body proving easy to handle. We can't really comment on the actual construction as what we were shown were early pre-production mockups designed to just give us a taste rather than the full enchilada. Weighing in at 395g, the Enjoy 7 features a similar penchant for curviness and, on a less happy note, glossiness. Both are smear magnets with a high sheen finish on the front. The metal backs are more demure, though. Check out the Enjoy 10 on video after the break.

N.B. We were at first told the resolution on the 10-inch Enjoy 10 was 1024 x 600, but the spec sheet more accurately identifies it as 1024 x 768. Given the screen's 4:3 size ratio, that makes a lot of sense -- just pretend we said 768 instead of 600 in the video above.

3. When performing your exercises keep your knees slightly bent, your back straight and your tummy firm, even when you are performing seated exercises you need to make sure you have good posture.
4. Don?t swing your weights about. If you are finding that you are swinging your body around to lift your weights then you should lower the weights until you are ready to advance.
5. Perform your exercises correctly. If, as I mentioned above, that you have to swing your body or your weights around then you are probably more likely to be giving your lower back a crappy workout rather than the body part you thought you were training. Don?t waste precious training time by not using good form while training.
6. Always keep a water bottle near by so have easy access to fluids while training. This will keep you from dehydrating.
7. Make sure you perform a warm up before training and cool down after wards. While your muscles are still warm, after your cool down, you may like to perform your stretches.
8. Sleep! You need to have sufficient sleep to ensure your body has time to repair itself and recover from your days training and general activities.
9. Organise your eating plan ahead of time so that you can have your meals on hand. This will help prevent you from consuming junk as well as keeping up with regular meal times.

If you are looking for a solid investment property you would probably do better to buy real estate in or very close to one of Louisiana?s major cities. These areas are more highly populated and the rental space is more in demand.

This is especially true of the areas along the coast that house the oil and gas industries. One really nice thing about Louisiana is that the unemployment rate has stayed fairly stable in recent history providing a good supply of workers and renters.

If you are looking to buy your own primary residence in Louisiana, there are a host of other questions that you will need to answer. If you have children, you will certainly want to check out which districts in the state are well-rated.

Gunmen Kill Iraqi Chief Of Anti-Hussein Committee

The head of Iraq's effort to purge Saddam Hussein loyalists from the government was assassinated Thursday night. Ali al-Lami had led the Justice and Accountability Commission since 2004.

Iraq's al-Sumaria TV network reports that "unknown gunmen driving a Hyundai opened fire using muted weapons" and killed al-Lami in eastern Baghdad around 9 p.m. Thursday. He was accompanied only by his driver; al-Lami evidently had a long practice of not using bodyguards.

At al-Lami's funeral Friday, mourners blamed remnants of Hussein's Baath party for the killing, according to reports. But there have been no claims of responsibility for the attack as of yet.

Al-Lami was a divisive figure in Iraq, where his committee sought to bar hundreds of political candidates from seeking office in last year's parliamentary elections. Because many of those candidates were Sunni, al-Lami came under accusations that he was trying to tighten Shiites' hold on the government.

And in 2008, U.S. forces arrested al-Lami, saying he was implicated in a bombing attack that killed American personnel. As the AP reports:

"The top American military commander in Iraq at the time, Gen. Ray Odierno, said al-Lami and Ahmed Chalabi, also a committee member, were influenced by Iran and had attended meetings of the Shiite regime there."

On the al-Sumaria site's story about al-Lami's death, a commenter claiming to be the late official's son wrote that the arrest had been an attempt to force his father to implicate Chalabi. Al-Lami, who was detained for more than a year, maintained his innocence and was eventually released. The case was never fully resolved.

The al-Sumaria story ends with an enigmatic paragraph that suggests that al-Lami was suspicious that the U.S. government wanted him dead:

In a statement to Alsumarianews, Ali Allami accused the US Embassy in Baghdad of plotting to assassinate him and then blame it on Al Qaeda.

It's not clear when that "statement" was provided, or what may have prompted it.

By all accounts, al-Lami's controversial career angered many, from Hussein loyalists to U.S. officials and rival Shiites. The AP spoke to one of al-Lami's colleagues:

"The first suspect are the Baath Party members who are angry at his campaign against them," said Ali Mahmoud, a member of the Accountability and Justice Committees.

Police say their investigation of the killing is under way. And the attack is also part of a larger pattern of assassinations in Iraq.

For NPR, Isra al-Rubeii reports that "Although violence in Iraq has gone down from a peak in 2006 and 2007, the death of al-Lami is only part of an unabated wave of targeted killings against government and political figures."

All travel agent work can be exciting and demanding ? but perhaps business travel jobs especially so. Why is this?

If you are providing general travel agent services to the public for things such as holidays and weekend breaks, then although challenges and problems will arise, there may be a core stability around the travel plans that is unlikely to change. For example, someone booking a holiday to Thailand is unlikely to call you on only the second day there and say that they now want to travel immediately to another holiday in Australia. Yet with business travel jobs, that can happen ? and fairly regularly!

Global business is characterised by the frequency of how things change. A business traveller may be actually en-route to Hong Kong and suddenly his or her employer will call you to say that, upon arrival, their employee must now travel immediately to Los Angeles. Others may be willing to offer trainee roles to people without any experience of the travel industry, but they may look very favourably upon those applicants that hold higher academic qualifications in a related travel and leisure field.There is now a wide range of courses offered by numerous colleges, universities and other educational institutions, in various aspects of this industry sector. These may offer qualifications at BA or HNC level and some are accredited by organisations such as IATA and ABTA.

Some employers may be willing to offer business travel jobs to trainees on the proviso that they have reasonable GCSE results, particularly in geography and English although maths is also usually very well received. Employers will also be looking to see evidence that you are the sort of person who:

? enjoys pressure;? is a natural problem solver rather than problem creator;? is a gifted communicator (verbally and in writing).

Business travel jobs offer a pathway to success for the right individual. They can be well rewarded, and successful individuals are usually very sought-after by both travel agents and their corporate clients.

I have two answers for this, one meal is lighter, and the other heavier.

My favourite place to eat ritually serves healthy fresh food in smaller portions.? If I could have my perfect meal there, it would be a cup of their amazing mushroom soup, followed by a squash salad, and a mini lavender vanilla cupcake.? Tea is a speciality there, so of course this sort of lunch couldn't do without.? Ice tea would be especially lovely in the summer.

On occasion, I like something a bit heavier, like something cozy in midwinter.? Mashed potatoes or German egg noodles, a perfect rosemary lemon rotisserie chicken or beef tenderloins with green beans.? To drink, none other than a good thick Belgian beer, Abbey Dubbel?? Dessert would be a gingerbread cake made by myself.
