?Aces for All with Autism? Tennis Program is a free youth-led tennis clinic for children with autism (See flyer below). The camp?has been going on each?Saturday morning since July 16 from 9am-10am.?
The camp is located at Shaw Park Tennis Courts and is specifically targeted to children with autism ages 6-10. Tennis has been shown to be a fantastic game for children with this pervasive developmental disorder.
Clayton Parks and Recreation provides tennis rackets and balls for kids to use during this free camp. Readers should help support this event as the tennis camp is going extremely well.
Each week, more kids on the autism spectrum are joining the camp. With a 1:1 student to volunteer ratio, more than 20 kids are receiving personal instruction each week.
The teen volunteers are engaged, the kids are improving, and the parents are extremely appreciative.
Saturday, August 6 will be the last session of the camp this summer so don?t miss the opportunity to make a difference!
New children on the autism spectrum and volunteers are welcome to join the camp this Saturday!
If interested in signing up for the camp as a student or volunteer, contact Jake at jake@stlouisvolunteen.com.
